Deborah Lynn Brown

Deborah Lynn Brown (lovingly known as Debbie) of Chattanooga, TN passed away on March 23rd, 2026, at the age of 66. Born in Sylva, NC on September 17th, 1959, she was the daughter of Dee Allen and Joan Ensley. She graduated from Sylva-Webster High School, and attended Western University. Known for her kindness and fiercely creative spark, Debbie touched the hearts of many people she came across. With an affinity for the outdoors that she shared with her father, Debbie loved nature and gardening. Perhaps most importantly, she was an avid animal lover, and could often be found spending time with her sweet dog, Lola, or caring for other animals.

Debbie will be dearly missed by her husband of 47 years, Charles “Randy” Brown; her children, Jordan Brown and Payton Brown; her mother, Joan Beck Ensley; her sister, Karen Dee Ensley (Kenneth); as well as her aunt, Linda Ensley Queen.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Dee Allen Ensley; her grandparents, Harry Ensley and Willa Mae Ensley; and her grandparents, Clarence and Elizabeth Beck.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in Debbie’s honor.
