Deborah Jayne Smith

Deborah “Debbie” Smith, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026. She was born in Gallatin, TN, on December 24, 1958, to the late George and Elizabeth Henderson Majors, Jr. She enjoyed getting dressed up in bright colors and shiny jewelry. In her earlier years, she loved to travel. She liked cheering for her Tennessee Vols. She loved her dogs. Debbie was a loving wife, dog mom, aunt, and sister and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Smith; and fur babies, Max, Baxter, and Teddy.

She is survived by her sister, Georgia Heiskell; nephews, Cory and Ryan; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and beloved friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held from 4:00PM – 7:00PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Companion Funeral Home – Chattanooga Chapel located at 6018 John Douglass Drive in Chattanooga.
