David Lee Willerson

David Lee Willerson passed away on July 12th, 2026, at the age of 60. To many, he appeared tough, quiet, and reserved. He wasn't one to openly express his emotions, but those who truly knew him understood that beneath that strong exterior was a man with an incredibly loving heart. He loved his family deeply and showed that through his actions. He was always there for his family, protecting and supporting those he loved, while also teaching his daughters valuable life lessons. David was a hard-working man who took pride in his family and never judged anyone; he accepted people for who they were and loved them wholeheartedly.

David was also a fighter. Through years of health challenges, he faced each obstacle with resilience and strength. He was grateful for the love and support of his siblings, Cynthia and Ricky, who never gave up on him. They stood by his side through his hardest days, making sure he was safe, cared for, and never alone.

Their devotion, compassion, and determination to see that he received the care he deserved meant more to David than words could ever express.

Along with his strength came a goofy side that brought joy to those around him.

His daughters will cherish the memories of him singing to them and making them laugh. To his girls, Holly and Nikki, he was more than a father-he was their protector, biggest supporter, and best friend. To his siblings, he was a beloved brother whose love ran deep, even when it wasn't always spoken. They will forever cherish the time they shared, the memories they created together, and the comfort of knowing they stood by his side until the very end. His legacy of unconditional love, strength, and laughter will live on through everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gainelle Willerson; his father, John G.

Willerson Sr.; and his brothers, Robert Nation, Steven Willerson Sr., and Buddy Nation.

He is survived by his daughters, Nikita and Holly Willerson; his grandchildren, Riley and Brantley Sneed; his siblings, Cynthia Carroll, (John) and Ricky Willerson; along with several nieces, nephews, and their families.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
