David Dewayne Tinnel, age 49, of Sweetwater, Tennessee, passed away at his residence on August 31, 2026.

David was born on November 29, 1976, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the late Darrell and Deborah "Debbie" Tinnel. He was a good man who worked hard throughout his life, spending many years as a laborer with Local 818 out of Knoxville. David was a quiet and private person who tended to keep to himself, but he dearly loved his family.

In his spare time, David enjoyed working on cars and had a passion for all things hot rods. He also enjoyed spending time fishing.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Tinnel, and his sister, Penny Tinnel.

Left to cherish and honor his memory are his daughters, Destiny Tinnel (Isaac Daniels) and Brooke Tinnel; a sweet grandson who is on the way; his brother, Chris Tinnel (Brandy); and his nephews, Hunter and Austin Tinnel.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
