David Rollman Frederick, born on September 15, 1945. A longtime resident of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, May 6 surrounded by the family he loved so deeply. Born in Lititz, Pennsylvania, David moved to Cleveland in 1979 and built a life centered on faith, hard work, and service to others.

David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, military veteran, and steady provider for his family. He was one of the hardest working people you could ever know. He worked as a millwright at Bethlehem Steel and Bowater until his retirement. He believed in caring for the people he loved, and living life with honesty, humility, and purpose.

David had many interests that reflected both his curiosity and love for the outdoors. He enjoyed ham radio and was highly skilled in Morse code, a talent that went back to his army days. He loved spending time outside, caring for plants, working in the yard, taking hikes, and enjoying nature with his family.

David deeply loved his wife, Fay, and together they built the kind of partnership that anchored their entire family. Whether gathering everyone around the table or standing outside together waving goodbye, the love and steadiness they shared left a lasting impression on everyone around them.

David will be remembered for his stories, his love of ice cream, and the dependable presence he was to those around him. He found joy in simple things: time with family, familiar routines, and being together. The traditions and memories he helped create will be treasured for generations to come.

David was a longtime member of Pleasant Grove Community Church where he faithfully served as a deacon, teacher, and treasurer for many years. His church community was an important part of his life, and his faith was reflected in the way he served others with humility and steadfast love for God.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn Mummert Frederick and John Carl Frederick, and his brother, Richard Frederick.

He is survived by his wife, Fay Styer Frederick: his sister Josie Frederick Hagel: his children Lee Frederick (Kim), Kurt Frederick, and Chrissy Frederick Gray (Trey): his grandchildren, Kathryn Frederick Tilley (Adam), David Cooper Gray, Lindsey Frederick, Avery Gray (Chloe), Sophie Frederick, Benjamin Gray, and Gracie Gray; his great-grandchildren, Austin Blankenship and Millie Blankenship; his step great-grandchildren, Emmalee Tilley, Mackenzie Tilley, and Olivia Tilley; along with several nieces and nephews.

David's legacy of faith, hard work, humility, and devotion to family will live on through all who knew and loved him.
