David B. Shannon

David Bruce Shannon, 65, of Birchwood, TN, passed away July 26, 2022. Born October 5, 1956, and a born again Christian. He loved history, especially the Civil War, baseball, building model cars, and playing with grandbabies. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and professional wrestling, but mostly spending time with his wife, who he will meet again in Heaven.

Preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Shannon; parents, Wiley and Ethel Shannon; sisters, Betty King and Linda Layne; brothers, Gene Shannon, Kenneth Shannon, and Frank Shannon.

Survived by his son, Willie Shannon (Denise); sister, Margie Ward; grandchildren, Tyler Kelley, Atlas Shannon, and Eva Rae Shannon; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Companion Funeral Home, followed by the service in the chapel at 1:00 PM. Burial will be held at McInturff Cemetery, Birchwood, TN with pallbearers Mike McManus, Tyler Kelley, James Myers, Dylan Myers, Nathan Myers, and John Bennett.
