Darryl Walker

Darryl Walker, 63, was born and raised in Charleston. He lived in Bradley County his entire life and was known as "The Propane Gas Man".

Darryl graduated Charleston High School in 1980. He attended Cleveland State where he obtained an Electronic Technician Diploma. Most all of Darryl's career was spent in the propane gas business, where he delivered propane along with other types of bottled gas and was also a technician.

Darryl was preceded in death by his parents, W. Paul and Gladys (Baker) Walker; maternal grandparents, J.C. and Stella (Davis) Baker; paternal grandparents, Edgar and Eugenia (Grant); several aunts and uncles; and wife, Colleen "Angel" Rodgers Walker.

Left to remember Darryl is his sister, Tina (Walker) and husband Mark Bowling; nephew, Emory Bowling; niece, Claudia Bowling; his dear best friend and caregivers, Rob and Rose Rupright; and good friend, Audrey Walker.

Darryl enjoyed going to the beach-- any beach, cruises, photography and he loved animals. Darryl had a big heart and would give anyone a helping hand. He enjoyed going to his church-- The Church at Grace Point, where he worshiped with friends, His closest friends at church, Charlie and Danette Reeves were friends, prayer warriors, advisors and family for Darryl. Darryl enjoyed hearing the Word of God from Dr. Phil Griffin and was thankful for Dr. Phil's visits and prayers.

Just as in life, Darryl wanted no fanfare over himself, so there will be no funeral service or visitation per his wishes.
