Darren D. Kring

Darren D. Kring, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in a Nashville hospital surrounded by his family. He was 44 years old. His passing leaves a large hole in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patsy and Glenn Brown and Lester and Nella Kring.

He attended Hixson High School where he played football and has been employeed by Norfolk Southern Railway for the last 22 years. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Shanell; sons, Dakota (Erin) Ellis of Chattanooga; Anthony, US Army Fort Bragg; daughter, Sydney of Cookeville, TN; parents, Glenda and Archie Bales and Lester and Linda Kring; one brother, Nathan (Virginia) Kring of Milledgeville, GA; one sister, Tammy (Jason) Carson, Soddy Daisy TN; two step sisters, Terri (Brian) Shadden, Oakdale, TN and Shelly Ruppe, Grand Junction, CO; and Four grandchildren, McCartney, Pax, and John Felix Ellis of Chattanooga, and Jaxon Ellis of Conway, Arkansas.

There will be a memorial service Monday, January 22, 2018 at Hixson United Methodist Church at 4pm.
