Darrell Leon Hembree ("B.B."), 72, of McDonald, Tennessee, passed away on April 13, 2026. He was born on September 25, 1953.
He was preceded in death by his father, Romeo Hembree; his mother, Wanda Hembree; and his sister, Patricia Cooper.
Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Pauline Hembree; children, Brenda (Bree) Woods, Amy Hembree, and Ray Hembree (Jessica); sisters, Brenda Hamm and Anna Esparza; grandchildren, Monica Barrientos, Madison Woods, Liam Hembree, Paisley Hembree, Courtney Cranmore, Cole Davis, Anthony Davis, Robby Hembree, and Christopher Hembree; stepchildren, Rhonda Hembree and Michael Hembree; along with several nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and many special friends.
Darrell was a hardworking man who found joy in simple, meaningful pursuits. He loved woodworking, fishing, and spending time at the flea market. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family, and could be counted on whenever he was needed.
He spent many years operating B.B.'s Catering Truck and became well known throughout the community, not only for his work but for his friendly nature and the connections he built along the way.
He will be remembered for his loving spirit and the way his laugh could light up a room. Darrell will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2026 starting at 11:00 a.m. at Companion Funeral Home - Ridge Sanctuary. The family welcomes friends and family to visit on Friday, April 17th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow the Service on Saturday at Lee Cemetery in McDonald, TN.
