Danny Lee Young

Danny Lee Young 67, passed away September 16, 2026 peacefully, surrounded by his family. He was born in Cleveland, TN April 25, 1959.

Danny is survived by his children, Sam Blankenship (Amy) and Keshia Young (Jason). His grandchildren, Logan Young, Sarah Stevens, Emily Stevens, Gracie Powers, and Abby Blankenship. He is also survived by his sisters, Lucille Gibson (Gary), Linda Goins (Gary), and Vickie Patterson (Bryan) as well as his brother in law Gary Long and several nieces and nephews who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his wife Kathy Young and his parents, William O. Young and Ruby Lee Young; his brother, William Young JR; his sisters Judy Millsap and Betty Long. His adopted brother Donny Byers, and his nieces Melinda Garland and Heather Thompson.

Danny loved to listen to gospel music and reading his Bible. He will forever be loved, missed, and remembered by his family and friends.

A remembrance of life service will be held at 7:00pm on Monday September 21st in the Ridge Sanctuary of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. Pastor Sam Blankenship will be officiating.

Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery at 11:00am on Tuesday September 22, 2026.

Pallbearers include: Logan Young, Mike Stevens, Larry Morgan, Jason Conrad, Tyler Young, Mark Gibson.
