Danny Thornton

Danny Joe Thornton, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 5th, 2025. He was born in 1961 on the 14th of November at General Hospital, Nashville Tennessee.

His friends called him Froggy, but to his family he was known as Danny Joe. Danny was as mean as a snake, but loved his family unconditionally. He always had a knife in his pocket, a cold beer in his hand, and inappropriate jokes that would put a smile on everyone's face. Although he has left his beautiful family behind, he will always be in their hearts and minds for the rest of their lives.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Christy Gene Thornton and stepson Adam Graham. Father, Nathan Thornton, Sister, Shelia Bussey, and Brothers: David, Gene, and Ray Thornton. Danny leaves behind cherished memories, and abundance of love. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (pee-pie), and his step children Arvin, Tisha, and Allen. Survived by his sisters: Sherry Brooks, and Lisa Boatman his best-friend. Survived by his grandchildren: Elizabeth, Johnny Joe, Emma, Sarah, and Elijah; and his only great grandchild: Luxton, and numerous more grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
