In Loving Memory of Danny Joe Deal

August 6, 1950 - June 6, 2025

Danny Joe Deal, a proud United States Marine and Vietnam veteran, passed away peacefully at the age of 74. Born on August 6, 1950, he was raised in Cleveland and Copperhill, Tennessee, where he developed a deep appreciation for family, service, and community.

In July 1968, Danny answered the call of duty and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving his country honorably with one tour in Vietnam. His service was a source of great pride throughout his life, and he later continued supporting fellow veterans as a dedicated member of the Campbell County Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Honor Guard.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ina Deal; his beloved grandmother, Laura Elisabeth Deal; and his brother, Paul Thomas Deal.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Juanita Deal; his daughters, Caitlyn, Kristie, Amy, and Lisa; and his cherished granddaughters, Hannah, Courtney, and Taylor. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Aidan (affectionately known as "Little Bear"), Bella, Teegan, and Taisleigh.

Danny is fondly remembered by his extended family, including sisters-in-law Joy Deal (and her daughters Tammy and Erin); Darlene and Lee Moses (and their children Janie and David); and Jessie Benton (and her daughters Denise and Stacey). He also leaves behind treasured friends Okey Adkins Sr. (Anita), Isidoro Campisi, Buck and Donna, Marcus Potter (Tracey), and Beth Sams.

Danny will be remembered for his strength, his unwavering sense of loyalty, and his love for both family and country. His life was one of service, sacrifice, and quiet dignity.

At this time, no formal services are planned

Family and friends are invited to share memories or offer condolences by visiting his online guestbook at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral & Cremation Service of Athens, TN, and the Cody family are honored to serve the Deal family during this time.
