Daniel Ray Wilson Sr., age 60, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, in Dayton, Tennessee. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend whose kindness, strength, and presence touched the lives of many.
Daniel was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family. He worked as a concrete worker and mechanic, using his skills to build, repair, and make things work. He was known for his determination, generosity, and willingness to get his hands dirty.
In his free time, Daniel enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time outdoors, and trail riding. These activities brought him joy and allowed him to create cherished memories with those he loved.
Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Wilson; his son, James Wilson; his grandson, Wesley Anderson; his father, Boyd J. Wilson; his mother, Lillie Sears; his sister, Vickey Moore; and his brothers, Boyd L. Wilson and Darrell Wilson.
He is survived by his sons, Daniel Wilson Jr., Dalton Wilson, and Andrew Simmons; his daughters, Kristy Wilson and Heather Southerland; and his sister, Barbra Rouse.
Daniel was a proud grandfather to Bella Blevins, Justin Williams, Caitlyn Anderson, Trenton Williams, Adrian Wilson, Damian Wilson, Carmen Retamar, and Jayden Vidal Christian Wilson, Caesyn Wilson, Adilene Kuhlman, Abigale Southerland, Sofia Southerland, Jeremiah Southerland, Lynne Southerland and Jason Southerland Jr.
He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Mateo Orson and Baby Johnson.
Daniel will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and friends.
Family will have a visitation on Saturday August 29, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the chapel of Companion Funeral and Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown Rd. NW Cleveland, TN 37311. All are welcome to attend.
