Daniel Speed

Daniel Patrick Speed, age 55, of Athens, TN, passed away on July 9, 2025.

Dan was a man of many passions. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping, fishing, and hunting. Earlier in life, he also loved playing golf. A lifelong enthusiast of technology and entertainment, Dan found joy in online computer games, watching movies, and following professional wrestling. He had a particular fondness for the Food Network. Dan also had a deep interest in cars and music. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Judith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Baldwin; his children, Crystal Speed, Danial Speed, Randi Greenwell, and Alicia Baldwin; his father, James J. Speed Sr., and stepmother, Kathleen; his brother, James "Jimmie" Speed Jr.; and his sisters, Donna Gonzalez and Cynthia Speed.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life on August 3, 2025 at 4:00pm at Central United Methodist Church in Lenoir City, TN.
