Craig Wendell Gaston

Craig (Lip) Gaston, 62, of Etowah, passed away on July 15, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Craig (Lip) was a part of the construction world for most of his life. He took pride in every job he did. He enjoyed meeting new people a long the way. Craig loved to “talk” to everybody, that’s how he got the name “Lip”. He had a heart of gold and always wanted to help others. Hew enjoyed fishing and hunting and watching football when he found the time. He was a 1979 graduate of McMinn Central High School.

Craig was preceded in death by his father, Charles Gaston.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Ellen (Barnett) Gaston, his only son, Tavyn Gaston; brother, Tony (Kajsa) Gaston; sister, Traci (Scot) Forrest; uncle, Larry (Jacquilyn) Gaston; aunt, Susie Gaston; uncle Ray Trew; aunt, Kiti Gaston and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a Remembrance Service Gathering with family and friends at Coghill Baptist Church, fellowship Hall, 104 Co. Rd. 810, Etowah on Saturday, June 22, 2023 from 5 to 6 pm. There will be no formal Service afterwards.
