Listen to Obituary

Craig Michael Fincher, age 61, of Cleveland, Tennessee, is now rejoicing with Jesus and the angels in his heavenly home. He was born to Joel Michael Fincher and Sylvia Holloman Fincher on Tuesday, June 23, 1964 in Bremen, Georgia.

Craig was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, cousin, and friend to so many. God's love shined through his Christian service and his gentle kindness, his patient humility, his good-natured humor, and his wholehearted generosity. He and his loving wife, Kristy Blair Fincher, were a part of Mt. Olive Ministries in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Growing up in Bremen, Georgia as the older brother of two sisters with many cousins close by, he led adventures through the woods behind their home, in the barn on their property, or wherever else his imaginative mind would take them.

Craig graduated from Bremen High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served four years. After his service, he worked as a master locksmith for over twenty years while owning several businesses. Over the last 15 years, he has worked for two automotive parts manufacturers.

His creativity and joviality led to many other endeavors throughout his life from magician, to artist, to poet, to most enthusiastically, an explorer. From his early childhood travels around the world with his parents, to his outdoor adventures

with his family and friends, his love for the outdoors permeated much of his free time. He enjoyed hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing, and bicycling.

Craig was preceded in death by his father, Joel Michael Fincher, his late wife, Kimberley Filkins Fincher, father-in-law, William Dennis Blair, grandmother Mable Geneva Gaddis, and grandparents Sara Elizabeth and Joe "Isaac" Fincher.

He is survived by his wife, Kristy Blair Fincher, his mother, Sylvia Holloman Fincher, his children, Kristin (Brandon) Lewis, Julie (Ryan) Massie, and Heather (Damian) Sami, and his grandchildren Sylvia and Ruby Lewis, Katheryn, Claire, and Michael Massie, and Haley, Addison, Ellie, and Sophia Sami.

He is also survived by his sisters, Monica (Chris) Young, Alicia (Ashley) Chen, his mother-in-law, Mary Lou Blair, sister-in-law, Karla (Brad) Sessoms, brother-in-law, Steven Blair, and numerous other relatives.

Craig will be laid to rest at Hiwassee Memorial Gardens.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at The Olive Branch Event Center on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm prior to the celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Olive Ministries, Cleveland, Tennessee.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Craig or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
