Cora Gene King

Cora "Bonnie" Gene King- age 89 of Louisville, TN passed away peacefully on September 26,

2026 after a short illness. Bonnie was born in Scott County, Tennessee on May 28, 1937. She

had a long career as an insurance agent. Bonnie loved spending time with her family and

friends, shopping, and gardening. She was a sweet, kind, and loving mother, grandmother,

great-grandmother and aunt. She also spoke her mind, stood up for what she thought was

right and never left you wondering where she stood. She had a wonderful sense of humor --

loved laughing, having fun and watching children learn and play. Bonnie was the "cleaner" of

the family-everything had to be pretty and clean. Her favorite time of the year was Spring and

Summer when she could be outside planting flowers and making everything pretty. When

finished with yardwork, she would swing on her porch and enjoy the view.

Preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Delia Stewart; sons, Dennis Glenn Neely and Jeffrey

Ray Walker; sisters, Jhnell Shifflett, Sally Stewart, and Vivian Manis; and brothers, Donnie

Stewart and Sam Stewart. She is survived by granddaughters, Kelly Ann Walker of

Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Jessica Quinlan of Smyrna, Tennessee; and grandson, Joshua D.

Neely of Smyrna, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Addilyn Walker and Elijah Lugo of

Albuquerque, New Mexico; Olivia Neely and Tyler Quinlan of Smyrna, Tennessee, and Mckenzie

Neely and Sarah Neely of Smyrna, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Sandra Neely of Smyrna,

Tennessee and sister, Margaret Begley of Baltimore, Maryland. She is also survived by

numerous nieces and nephews as well as friends from Little River Mobile Home Community in

Louisville, Tennessee.
