Obituary
Cooksey Groves Shugart II, 75, of Cleveland, TN passed away at his home, surrounded by family on May 13, 2013. He was born in Cleveland, TN on September 2, 1937 to the late Allan A and Blanche O’Neal Shugart. He graduated in the class of 1956 from Bradley County High School and then went on with the encouragement of dearest friend, Bob Overstreet, to write and publish The Complete Price Guide to Watches. This publication was known worldwide. In addition to these, he will forever be remembered as a loving spouse, father, grandfather, and friend.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by one stepson, Thomas Owen. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 37 years, Martha Shugart, two sons Cooksey G. Shugart III (Lona) of Cleveland, Corey Lee Shugart (Robin) of Maryland, two sisters Peggy Lazenby of Opelika, AL and Janey Moody of Johnson City, TN, one brother Frederick Shugart of Cleveland, four grandchildren, Amber Shugart, Derek Shugart, Tyler Shugart, and Christopher Shugart.
A celebration of his life is planned for Friday afternoon, May 17th, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church located at 2741 Benton Pike in Cleveland, TN with Pastor Larry Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service time.
