Conway "Taz" Martel Jr.

Conway "Taz" Martel Jr, 49 of Athens, TN passed away on July 19, 2026. He was born on June 8, 1977 to Conway & Neva (Murphy) Martel in Cleveland TN. He graduated from Bradley Central High School in 1996 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from UTC.

Taz is survived by his Mother, Neva (Patrick) Chase, Sister Jennifer (Tony) Martel-Ghee, Brother Todd (Karen) Crisp, Niece Zowie Gatlin, Nephews Nathan (Emily) Crisp and Matt (Madilyn) Crisp. 

He was preceded in death by his Father Conway Martel Sr, Brother Ronald "Joe" Crisp, and Nephew Jacob Crisp.
