Clayton "Bird" Green, 44, of Kingston, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026. Clayton loved his children. He never missed a game even if the Gators were playing. He loved football and basketball. He loved working and providing for his family and loved his job because he felt free being outside. He loved playing pool and drinking cold beer. He loved being with his friends so much that his friends are our children's uncles and aunties.
He loved to joke and make people smile. He would always say "I'm not here for a long time, but I'm here for a good one." He helped with Little League with Justice and the boys no matter what sport. He loved S.O.R and Kingston. You were all his family.
Clayton is preceded in death by his loving father, Fred Martin, and too soon after, his loving mother, Doris Edwina Green followed him home to be with the Lord. Many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends left us way too soon and waiting on him to rejoice in Heaven.
Clayton is survived by his loving wife, Brandi Lane; his 4 children, Britney Green, Justice Lane, Fred Green, and Kaitlyn Woodard; siblings by blood or circumstance; Jerome "Roni" Martin (Lisa), Fred Martin II, Cheryl Martin, Nancy Sargent, Smiley Sargent, Genann Sargent, Brady Collins, and Brian Collins; Nieces, Jalysa Green, Alayah Lane, Ava Moore, Addie Moore, Raemie Eichenberger, Maddie Arrington, and Sierra Wilson; Nephews, Jackson Green, Houston Lane, Landen Lane, Kash Carroll, and Amari Moore; mother-in-law, Teresa Lane; brother-in-law, Rocky Lane (Kristen); sisters-in-law, Marie and Samantha; Second mom, Ernie Sargent; and 2 beautiful grandsons that he was able to meet, Mayson and Alec Russell.
You are encouraged to share a memory of Clayton and/or your personal condolences with his family by visiting his memorial webpage and guestbook at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral & Cremation Service of Oak Ridge, TN, is honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
