Claudia Ann Voyles

Claudia Ann Voyles 69, went home to be with the Lord on July 18th 2026. Claudia was born on July 14th 1957 in Athens TN to her parents Claude and Joyce Womac. Claudia was a McMinn County High School graduate class of '76.

She went on to marry her high school sweetheart Carl Voyles. They raised their two children together in Ten-Mile TN.

She was a devoted wife and Mother. After raising their children Claudia and Carl moved back to Athens where they proudly worked alongside each other til their retirement. Working for James Hairell Construction, Claudia by her husbands side painted many Churches and buildings in McMinn county and surrounding areas. Claudia and her husband Carl took great pride in their work together over the years, often pointing out to their "kids" and "grandkids", " hey we painted that!".

Claudia was an artist in every way, whether she was painting a landscape on canvas or making one of her many crafts, everything Claudia touched became a work of art.

Claudia loved her family deeply and devoted her life to them. Her grandchildren were at the center of that love. Claudia and Carl would often state that they, "the grandkids, were what it was all about".

Claudia was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Carl and Lena Mae Womack. Her maternal grandparents Floyd and Pearl Rockholt. Her parents Claude and Joyce Womac. Her Sister Darlene Krouse. Her loving husband of 44 years Carl Voyles. An infant granddaughter Mattie Vess, and most recently her only grandson James Isaac Vess.

She is survived by her Son Jason Voyles, her Daughter Melissa Voyles Lee. Her Granddaughters Elizabeth Voyles, Lilith Voyles and Scarlet Lee.
