Claudia J Antonini, age 77, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
She was born on October 13, 1947, in San Francisco, California, to the late Ivan and Marie Sorg. She had an adventurous spirit as a young adult traveling to Europe, Australia, Jamaica, and Hawaii. Other adventures took her across the states with an interest in carrying on her father's legacy of National Park visits.
Claudia was known for her vibrant laughter, her passion for helping others, and her deep interest in connecting with special needs communities. She had a kind way of sharing stories, making everyone feel connected to a life that is worth living, and love that must be cherished.
Family meant the world to Claudia. Faith, family, and community were the very heartbeat of her life. She taught her girls early in life about living a life modeled by a Savior. She encouraged their faith practices and was always present in prayer. She loved the variety of services available throughout Bradley County, especially any church who had a heart for special needs.
Her beloved grandchild inspired her to recognize how wonderous are the little things in life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Marie Sorg and her Sister Susan Keen and brother-in-law, Rich Keen, whom she loved dearly.
Claudia is survived by her siblings, David and Rich Sorg, their spouses Debbie and Susan; her children, Teresa Bartels, Amy Antonini, and Lisa Antonini; her son-in-law Jeff Bartels, and her granddaughter, Maygan Bartels.
She is also survived by many other extended family members and cherished friends.
In keeping with Claudia's wishes, she will be cremated. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Companion Funeral Home, Original Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00. The Services will immediately follow at 3:00.
Though she may be gone from our presence, Claudia's memory will continue to guide our hearts through moments of reflection.
