Clarence Wayne Jones

Clarence Wayne Jones, age 55, passed away on January 26, 2026. He was born on November 6, 1970.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Jones; his maternal grandparents, Emmett and Inez Banks; and his paternal grandparents, Jessie and Winnie Jones.

He is survived by his father, Clarence "Bud" Jones; his sons, Andrew Jones and Garrett Jones; his brother, David (Angie) Jones; his niece, Jessica (Jon) Sartin; his nephews, Aaron Jones and Preston (Hannah) Jones; his great-nieces, Jaylei Graham, Annabel Coblentz, and Madeleine Jones; his great-nephews, Seth Graham and Silas Graham; his fiancée, Birdie Holmes; his stepson, Justin (Julie) Holmes; his stepdaughter, Tonya (Darrin) Torgerson; his grandchildren, Kylee Staggs, Hayden Torgerson, Oliver Staggs, and Jax Torgerson; and his special friends, Larry Ellis, John Ellis, Brian Banks, and Berry Jones.

Wayne loved his family and friends deeply and took great joy in spending time with them. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who felt most at peace in nature, whether walking through the woods or sitting along a riverbank, appreciating God's creation. Known for his wonderful sense of humor, Wayne enjoyed making others laugh and ensuring everyone around him was having a good time. He especially cherished time spent with his "babies," the younger generations of his family, and was immensely proud of all their accomplishments. Wayne professed a strong faith in Jesus Christ and believed wholeheartedly in the power of salvation.

A funeral service will be held at Companion Funeral Home, Cleveland Chapel, on January 30, 2026. Visitation will take place from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Birdie Holmes to assist with expenses.
