Christopher Brian Wooten

Christopher "Brian" Wooten, 56, of Decatur went to be with the Lord on October 5, 2025.

Brian had a deep love for the outdoors, especially when it came to fishing, his favorite pastime. He also enjoyed spending time riding horses. A self-made man, Brian was known for his strong work ethic and determination. He built a successful career as an IT specialist in the construction industry. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Preceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Susan Wooten; grandson, Skyler Davis; and one sister.

Survivors include his loving wife, Anna Wooten; son, Christopher Brian Wooten Jr (Samantha); daughter, Kailee Deanne Stroud; grandchildren, Marlee Anne Stroud, McKenna Rae Stroud, Waylon Aubrey Essex and Bennett Terry Hugh Courson; special friend he considered a son, Richie Toler; brothers, Kenneth Paul Wooten Jr (Rebecca) and Robert Eric Wooten (Christina); longtime friend, Ricky Guess; and several nieces, nephews and many other loved family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Caris Healthcare for their help and kindness during this difficult time.

There will be a graveside service at a later date.
