Christine Woods Howard

Christine Woods Howard, 81, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026.

Born on February 7, 1945, Christine was the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna Mae Woods. She dedicated more than 25 years of service as a supervisor at Hardwick Clothes, where she was known for her hard work and dedication.

Christine found joy in sewing, puzzles, crafts, gardening, cooking, and anything filled with color and creativity. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends. She will be especially remembered for her famous "Mamaw's Gravy and Biscuits," which brought comfort and love to everyone gathered around her table.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roscoe Howard; daughter, Tammy Bain; granddaughter, Kayla Michell Domingo; brothers, Bobby Woods and Gene Woods; and sisters, Imogene Woods, Evelyn Woods, Glenda Woods, and Linda Woods.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Lynn Johnson (Teresa) and Mickey Johnson; grandchildren, Blake Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Sonya McCann, Brian Wright, Crystal Long, Sara Humphries (Chad), and Matt Johnson (Laura); along with many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Christine's family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
