Chelsea Kirkland

Chelsea Olivia Kirkland, born October 2, 1993, in Hammond, Louisiana, passed away August 26, 2025, in Cleveland, Tennessee. Chelsea was a vibrant soul who lit up every room she entered with her bubbly personality, beautiful smile, and piercing blue eyes. Despite her challenges, she embraced life with joy and warmth that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Chelsea found solace and happiness in a variety of pursuits. She had a deep love for music, cherished spending time outdoors, and enjoyed reading, particularly the Bible. Recently, Chelsea experienced a spiritual awakening, leading her to be saved and baptized on June 21, 2025. This significant moment marked a profound change in her life and was a testament to her resilience and faith.

Chelsea is survived by her loving mother, Julie Newstrom, her father, Jake Kirkland, and her brothers, Joseph (Catharine) Kirkland and Dale (Heather) Ouber. She is also survived by her grandparents, Terry W. Newstrom and Brenda Newstrom, as well as her cousins, Ashley (Bobby) Johnson who was more like a sister and whom she shared a priceless and unconditional bond with ....and Dustin (Shelly) Bailey, and her uncles and aunt, Terrie (Clint) Bailey, Mark (Ivory) Newstrom, Jeffrey (Heather) Kirkland, Joshua (Christie) Kirkland. Her long-time companion, James "Jimmy" Osborne, Chelsea leaves behind her beloved sons, Jacob and Joshua Brady.

She was proceeded in death my her precious beloved daughter, Cora Nevaeh Marie Atkins, her grandmother, Winnie Darlene McKinney Kirkland, her grandfather, Jake Kirkland Sr.

Chelsea's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and faith. As her family and friends come together to remember her spirit, they will undoubtedly celebrate the joy she brought into their lives. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.

Chelsea will be laid to rest in Louisiana on private family property. A balloon release will scheduled at a later date.
