Charlotte Anne Ferrell, the beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on January 14, 2026, in Cleveland, Tennessee after a brave battle with kidney disease. Born on March 5, 1948, in Winona, Minnesota, Charlotte lived a life filled with love, compassion, and countless memories that will forever warm the hearts of those who knew her. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Jane (Voelker) Thilmany, and her son Gregory Alan Byam.
Charlotte is survived by her husband Allen "Bud" Ferrell, two beloved children, Carrie (Jimmy) Hunt of Cleveland, TN and Daniel Byam of Hanover, PA, and her sister Beth (Tim) Blumer of Camanche, IA. She also welcomed Monroe Chinell, her bonus grandson, into her heart. Her cherished fur babies, Jellybean and Peanut, along with her grand dog Ruby, were constant sources of comfort and companionship.
In her 44 years of marriage, Charlotte was the devoted wife of Allen "Bud" Ferrell. Charlotte often fondly reminisced about her adventures as a proud Navy wife, traveling to various duty stations in the United States and overseas alongside Bud. Charlotte found her calling as a Vet Assistant at Keith Street Animal Clinic, where her deep passion for animals blossomed. She treated every animal with the utmost care and kindness, embodying the compassion that defined her character.
