Charlotte "Tot Tot"Carroll

07/08/1942- 12/20/2025

Charlotte Carroll, lovingly known to everyone as "Tot Tot," was a woman whose heart was big enough for everyone and whose laughter could fill any room. She passed away on December 20, 2025, in Cleveland, Tennessee, surrounded by the love she spent her life giving so freely to others.

Tot Tot never met a child who wasn't welcome in her world. Her home and her car were always full of kids, laughter, and stories from wherever she had taken them that day. She cared for every child she met as if they were her own, keeping them safe, busy, and loved, and making sure no one ever felt left out.

Known for her hilarious sense of humor, Tot Tot had a way of making people laugh even on the hardest days. Her quick wit, playful teasing, and joyful storytelling were as much a part of her as her giving heart. Time spent with her was always filled with smiles, laughter, and love.

Her family was the center of her world. She loved them fiercely and unconditionally, always putting their needs before her own. Being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family brought her the greatest joy of all.

Her life was defined by love. She gave it without conditions, without limits, and without expecting anything in return. Being surrounded by children brought her joy, and being surrounded by her love is what so many will remember most.

Tot Tot leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, laughter, and devotion that will live on in the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.

Tot Tot was born and raised in Childersburg, Alabama. She married Nolan, the love of her life, on August 18, 1956, and remained married to him until his passing in 2002.

She worked for Dairy Queen in Childersburg, Russell Mills, and Avondale Mills.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Wayne Carroll; her son, Kevin Wayne Carroll; grandparents Johnson Fields, Mattie Fields, William Russell Thomas, and Sarah Elizabeth Holder Thomas; parents Wilford Fields and Gladys Fields; and siblings Dexter Fields and Connie Carter.

She is survived by her children: Donna (Kenny) Ward, Rhonda Carroll, Diona (Bobby) Brooks, and Eric (Christy) Carroll; grandchildren: Konya (Jeremy) Matson, Danielle Magouyrk, Krystyn Floyd, Justyn (Alyssa) Truex, Ryan (Emily) Truex, Morgan (Jordan) Greene, Ashley Carroll, Amanda Wells, Thomas (Magnolia) Carroll, Phin (Louis) Mehlstaub, Zack (Alonna) Carroll, Nikki (Olivia) Carroll, and Destini (Nick) Bayer; sisters Glendean Ogle and Sara Williams; and brother Randall Fields.

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Haleigh, Tyler, Addison, Tanner, Bryce, Walker, Hayden, Ayleigha, Ryker, Ripley, Raylenn, Ryleigh, Zalayna, Bristol, Dixon, Grayson, Lennon, Nolan, and Lela, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held for Tot Tot on Sunday, December 28th, at Childersburg Cemetery, located at 8th Avenue SW, Childersburg, Alabama with Pastor Roy Gentry officiating. Jeremy Matson, Tyler Matson, Dalton Pointer, Justyn Truex, Ryan Truex, Bobby Brooks, and Kenny Ward will serve as pallbearers. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at her daughter's home, located at 1400 Wilford Fields Lane, Childersburg, Alabama.
