Charlotte Louise Broick, age 92, of Cleveland, Tennessee, entered glory peacefully in her sleep during the early morning hours of May 8, 2026. She was surrounded by the love of her family and the faith that guided her throughout her life.
She was born on December 11, 1933, in Gadsden, Alabama, and was raised in Anniston, Alabama. She graduated from Oxford High School in Anniston in 1951 and carried the values of hard work, kindness, and devotion to family throughout her entire life.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her infant son, Wendell Dean Broick; her parents, Albert and Avis Wright; her brother, James Ray Wright and his wife, Helga; her son-in-law, Kenneth C. Ray; her daughter-in-law, Katherine Broick; and her niece, Kimberly Lynn Reavis.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her sister, Linda Annette Kelley; her sons, George Broick Jr. and wife, Sandra Broick, and Terry Broick; and her daughters, Linda B. Ray and Cynthia (Cindy) Cross and husband, Johnny.
She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Michelle Broick; David and Kathy Broick; Brittney and Terry Longwith; Steven and Sarah Broick; Derek Ray; Maranda and Andrew Reffner; and Jacob and Megan Cross. She was also blessed with many beloved great-grandchildren: Angelina, Dylan, Gracie, Shane, Colee, Landon, Dayton, Hayden, Braelyn, Jackson, Aubrey, Carson, Reagan, Asher, and Luke, along with several nieces and nephews, and two special people in her life, Mary Broick and Natasha Wheatley.
Charlotte worked for 10 years at West Building Supply in Cleveland and later spent many dedicated years employed with Conditionaire Company in Chattanooga before retiring.
Beyond her professional life, she faithfully served the Boy Scouts of America for over 20 years. Beginning as a Den Mother in 1960, she eventually became a Scout leader, touching the lives of many young people through her guidance, patience, and servant's heart.
A faithful member of Cleveland Christian Fellowship Church for 38 years, Charlotte loved the Lord deeply and lived her faith every day. Her greatest desire was for her entire family to know the love of God and the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Her unwavering faith, gentle spirit, and compassionate heart were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Charlotte was also known for her many talents and the loving care she poured into everything she did. She was an exceptional seamstress who lovingly made her children's clothes while they were growing up. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and creating a warm and welcoming home where family always gathered. Her meals, handmade quilts, and thoughtful acts of kindness were treasured gifts to those she loved.
Above all else, Charlotte was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love knew no limits. She had a beautiful ability to make everyone around her feel special and cared for.
Her strength, generosity, wisdom, and enduring faith leave behind a legacy that will continue for generations.
She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be profoundly missed until the day they are reunited with her again.
The family will have a Visitation on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Cleveland Christian Fellowship Church, located at 695 South Ocoee St., Cleveland, TN 37311. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Strickland officiating.
