Charlie Hitson

Charlie Hitson, 69, passed away on August 29, 2026. He was born to the late Francis Hubbard and Marvin Hitson on January 17, 1957 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Charlie was a devoted family man. He was a loving father and husband, and would help anyone that he could. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, drive-in movies, and going to auctions. He was said to be a "wheel and dealing man." He had several great friends that he cherished.

In addition to his parents, Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, Melisa Hitson, and his grandson, Baby Charlie.

Charlie is survived by his children, Jackie Hitson, Tommy Walker, and Donna Nichols, grandchildren, Joshua Hitson, Breanna Hitson, Sebastian Nichols, and Shelby Long, siblings, Melissa Godfrey, Betty Godfrey, Marvin (Janice) Hitson, Francis McNish, Kenneth Hitson, Tubby HItson, nieces, Jennifer Boldin, Tina Beard, Michelle Godfrey, Brittany Barker, Sara Hitson, and nephews, Brandon McNish, and Zachary McNish.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 2:00pm at Beacon Baptist Church, with Pastor John Parker officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00-2:00pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Mcinturff Cemetery.
