Charlie Wilson, age 55, passed away on April 7, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories shared with those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles "Dude" Wilson and Flossie Wilson, and his grandparents, Earl and Dorsie Wilson, and Meigs and Basel Collins.

Charlie leaves behind his beloved life partner, Jo-Nella, whom he affectionately called "his Jo." Charlie's greatest goal in life seemed to be making life as happy and easy as possible for her, and their bond was evident to everyone who knew them. He is also survived by his children, Ryan Trickle, Colin Trickle, and Tara Trickle, all of Kansas, and his step-son, Cameron Morrow. Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers and sisters-in-law, Marshall and Amanda Collins, and Wayne and Jennifer Wilson.

Charlie was a proud grandfather to Rogue Trickle, Charlie Paige Trickle, and Brynlee Ryberg. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and several cousins who will remember him fondly.

Charlie had a passion for dirt track racing and loved working on motors. He also enjoyed hunting and took great pride in his carpentry work, where his attention to detail showed in everything he built. Charlie had a special ability to make people laugh and enjoyed bringing happiness to those around him. He also loved the companionship of his Basset Hound, Lucy.

A celebration of Charlie's life will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Sandy Lane Church, with Rev. Johnny Stewart officiating. A fellowship gathering will follow in the church fellowship hall.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Charlie or your condolences with his family at his online memorial page. Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland has been honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
