Charles Waymire, 74, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on October 16, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara (Plunkett) Waymire and Earl A. Waymire.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Buffy M. (Jones) Waymire, whom he married on June 15, 1969. He is also survived by his daughter, Michelle R. Waymire; sons, Troy J. Waymire, Cody M. Waymire, and James L. Jones; grandsons, Dustin S. Bartlett and Charles L. Sanzo; great-grandson, Kylan M. Waymire; and sisters, Deanne K. Carnahan, Joann L. Brohez, and Pamela A. Williams.
Charles's faith and family were the center of his life. He worked many years as an electrician and found joy in using his skills to help others. He loved country dancing and even taught dance classes, sharing his passion with friends and neighbors. Charles could often be found in his shop or on his John Deere tractor, working on woodworking or DIY projects. He was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was a yard project or a community need. He deeply enjoyed the outdoors and time spent with his neighbors, whether gathered for a cookout or working together on a project.
Charles faithfully served his church in many ways, always willing to do whatever was needed. He will be remembered as a hardworking, kind, and dependable man - a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
A memorial service to celebrate Charles's life will be held at Companion Funeral Home - Cleveland Chapel, located at 2415 Georgetown Road, Cleveland, TN. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a service at 7:00 p.m., officiated by Phil Griffin.
