Charles Nathaniel Rodgers, age 89, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, entered into his eternal rest on Sunday, August 2, 2026.
Charles was born on October 6, 1936, to the late Steven Rodgers and Roxy Parker Rodgers. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was centered on his faith and family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Gladys Rodgers; his son, Terry Rodgers; his grandson, Dustin Lowe; his parents, Steven Rodgers and Roxy Parker Rodgers; his brothers, Bud Rodgers, Dee Rodgers, and Roy Rodgers; and his sisters, Bessie Rich, Betty Scroggins, Faye Milsaps, and Carolyn "Sis" Rodgers.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Douglas N. Rodgers and wife, Jessica Rodgers; his daughter, Lisa McKinney and her fiancé, Paul Benoit; his grandsons, Daniel Rodgers and Terry Eugen Rodgers; his brother, Billy Ray Rodgers; his sisters, Sue Brooks and Deny Rodgers; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.
Charles was a faithful member of the Church of God and lived his life guided by his Christian faith. He retired after many years of dedicated service from Magic Chef (Whirlpool). He will be remembered for his steadfast love for his family, his strong work ethic, and the kindness and quiet strength he shared with everyone who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm til 6:00pm on August 8th, 2026 at Companion Funeral Home - Mac Shelton Parlor located at 2412 Georgetown Road, Cleveland, TN 37311. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00pm with Pastor Adam Jones officiating.
