Charles "Ron" Morgan was born February 27, 1953 in Dayton, Tennessee. He entered into his resting peace on February 10, 2026 with his loved ones by his side.

Ron started working at an early age. He was a great mechanic and could change just about anything out on anything there was to work on. He mastered building fences and taught that skill to his nephews and nieces. Ron always had a story to tell and a big brag to make about something, and some of it just may have stretched the truth a bit but he was the most proud of his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Ron was known for always having some breed of dogs; Doberman Pinscher, Rottweiler, Shar-Pie, Pits, and the newest member of the family was a was a different kind of mix. But, he was just as happy to have him. He might have even tried to run off his daughter's boyfriend way back in the mid 80's with the tell, "Don't make me have him hurt you," with a Rottweiler by his side. Luckily he didn't because that boyfriend turned out to be like a son as his son-in-law.

Ron loved to have a good time, go to Rod Runs, things with bling, and the most simple things like just sitting on his porch watching the hummingbirds or his solar lights at night.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Mary Fields & Arthur McCanns; siblings; Lloyd Morgan, Berenda Morgan, Wanda Beach, Gary Kellar, and Brenda Johnson, brother-in-law Andy Gauthier.

He is survived by his sister Pat Gauthier, sister-in-law; Peggy Morgan, children; Stacey (Joe) Newman, Gidget Morgan, Carlos Morgan, and Stephanie (Kevin) Massey, Grandchildren; Whitley(Dylan), Keaton, CJ, and Piper, many special nieces and nephews, and a lot of extended family.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Ron or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Athens and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
