Charles McKee

April 13, 1990 — June 6, 2025

Charles "Charlie" Damien McKee, age 35, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2025. Born on April 13, 1990, in Maryville, Tennessee, Charlie was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and deep love for animals-especially cats.

Charlie was dearly loved by his family and friends, all of whom will remember him for his warmth, humor, and loyalty. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth McKee and Melissa Hodges.

He is survived by his dear grandmother, Joyce; his aunts Charlotte, Rhonda, and Elaine, who each played a vital role in raising him; his uncles Charles (Judy) and Razz; his brothers, Dillon and Matthew; sisters, Rebekah and Samantha; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Charlie also leaves behind many close friends, including lifelong companions from school-especially Chaz, who remained by his side through everything-Karen, Chelsea, and many more. A special mention goes to Alicia Davis, who held a meaningful place in Charlie's life.

At this time, no formal services are planned. The family intends to hold a celebration of life to honor Charlie's memory at a later date.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time and would like to share this poem in remembrance of Charlie:

"A limb has fallen from the family tree.

I keep hearing a voice that says, Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life i lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls.I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we're together again."-Author Unknown.
