Charles Kennedy

Charles Gordon Kennedy, 83, stepped into eternity on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Charles and his wife, Marsha, celebrated 39 years of marriage before his passing.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his children, Sherry Kennedy of Decatur AL, Ginger Letson of Trinity AL, Machelle Moore (Rebecca) of Decatur AL, Charles (Chuck) Kennedy of Trinity AL, Tina Lasch (Andy) of Decatur AL, Tracy Wisener and Christian Kennedy, both of Cleveland, TN; his brother, Paul Kennedy (Janice) of Engelwood, TN; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Charles retired after 20 years of service at the Huntsville Hospital.

Charles loved his family, especially his grand and great grandchildren to whom he was affectionately known as Papaw; and his church, where he was the music director. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed camping, the Tennessee Vols, and playing rook with his childhood friends, Jimmy and Linda Jackson.
