Charles (Chuck) Lyndon Conlon

Charles (Chuck) Lyndon Conlon, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Hixson, TN, on June 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Charles Conlon and Audrey Elizabeth Bolton Conlon. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Sheri Lynn Vernon Conlon. Also surviving are his brother John William Conlon (Ronna) in Lufkin TX, sister Jean Elizabeth Conlon Nokleby (Norman) in Simpsonville SC, nephew Ryan Conlon (Angela) and their two children, niece Ashley Conlon Mitchell (Adam), two stepdaughters, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Chuck was also blessed by other family members and special friends.

 Chuck was born on November 1, 1948, in Hollywood, FL, and was blessed to be raised in a loving Christian family and personally accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior at a young age. He loved the outdoors and rose to the rank of Eagle Scout. Chuck was very musical, played many instruments, and performed in several musicals in high school. When he was older, he became an avid runner. Using his innate mechanical skills, he was an engineer with Moody Radio in Boynton Beach, FL, for many years before moving to Chattanooga, Tennessee.

 Sheri was the love of his life. After meeting on a mission trip while serving the Lord, they eventually got married. As members of Hixson Presbyterian Church in Hixson, TN, they have faithfully worshiped the Lord there for many years. Among other things, Sheri was attracted to Chuck’s sense of humor. And she always enjoyed the special times when Chuck’s family got together and sang and played instruments on their visits.

 A Celebration of Life Worship Service will be held at Hixson Presbyterian Church in Hixson, TN, on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM. A time for visitation will be held at 3:00 PM.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hixson Presbyterian Church, 1450 Jackson Mill Dr., Hixson, TN 37343.
