Charles Blevins

Charles "Charlie" Franklin Blevins, 83, of Riceville, TN went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2025.

Charles faithfully retired from Bowater after 36 years of dedicated service. A passionate outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and was a devoted fan of sports, especially of University of Tennessee athletics. Charles was an avid walker, walking at least 4 miles every day. Charles was a longtime and faithful member of Sanford Baptist Church in Riceville, TN, where he also served as a deacon. Above all, he loved the Lord with all his heart and lived a life rooted in faith and service.

Preceded in death by parents, Frank and Winona Blevins; brother, Argile Blevins and wife Jean ; sisters, Jewel Womac and husband Tom, Betty Weir and husband Clyde, Bonnie Long and husband Charles, and Lucille Deakins and Husband Donald; brother in-laws, Bobby Clark, and Dick Brady; sister in-law, Ruby Allen.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Frances Blevins; brothers, Paul (Shelby) Blevins of Florida, Arlie (Patsy) Blevins of Georgia, and Freddy (Delores) Blevins of Athens, TN; sisters, Louise (Ruly) Smith of Riceville, TN, Loretta Clark of Riceville, TN; sister in-law, Linda Brady of Riceville, TN; brother in-law Freddie (Sheila) Womac of Calhoun, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loved family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Sanford Baptist Church in Riceville, TN at 7:00pm with Former Pastor Floyd Boggess officiating. A Visitation will be held prior from 5:00-7:00pm. A Graveside services will be on Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland, TN at 11:00am with Pastor Stan Cantrell officiating.
