Charles Raymond "Chuck" Bedell, 64, passed away peacefully June 19, 2026.

Chuck was born in Freeport, New York. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Bedell, and his mother, Josephine Schneider.

He is survived by his loving wife, Holly Hansen; his sister, Deborah Ketcham; his nephew, David Ketcham; his niece, Jennifer Patten; three great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

For many years, Chuck was a valued member of the family at Jimmie's Flower Shop, where he worked as a handyman and in maintenance. He took pride in his work and was known for his reliability and willingness to help wherever he was needed.

Chuck found joy in life's simple pleasures. He dearly loved his Chihuahua, Blue, enjoyed taking leisurely drives, stopping for Speedway coffee, and spending time with friends. One of his favorite pastimes was singing karaoke-something he came to love after finally finding the courage to step up to the microphone. Those who knew Chuck will remember him as a quiet, kind, and gentle man whose greatest happiness came from spending time with his wife.

Chuck often said that marrying Holly at the Chilhowee Gazebo was the best day of his life. In keeping with that special memory, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the Chilhowee Gazebo, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember him.

If you are unable to attend, but would like to share a favorite memory of Chuck to be read during the celebration, please send it to his wife.

In lieu of flowers, Chuck's sister requests that memorial donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in his memory.

Though quiet by nature, Chuck touched many lives with his kindness, loyalty, and gentle spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will forever remain in their hearts.
