Charlene Cagle Gibbs, 89, of Spring City, TN passed away on April 13, 2026.

Charlene served as a teacher's aide at Spring City Elementary School, where she poured her heart into every child she nurtured, loving each one as her own. She had a remarkable gift for remembering the names of every student she ever taught, a testament to the lasting impact they had on her life. Prior to her work in education, Charlene was a proud beautician in Spring City for many years, a role she truly cherished. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by parents, Author and Annie Cagle; brother, Carter Newman; sisters, Hazel Grisby, Elsie Morgan, Alma Ann Holloway; niece, Patricia Ervin; and great nephew, Kenny Jolley.

Survivors include her sister, Edith Jolley; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private graveside service.
