Carolyn Amanda Short

Carolyn Amanda Short, 69, of Tunnel Hill, GA, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Carol was born on October 3, 1956, in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, to the late Archie and Reba Cloniger Wilson. She was a member of Westside Missionary Baptist Church. Carol loved yard-saling and taking trips to the Smoky Mountains.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Reba Wilson; daughter, Kimberly M. Ryon; daughter, Paula Short; brother, A. L. Wilson; sister, Shirley Lee Wilson; and nephews, Herbert Scott Gordy and Jerry Wayne.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Paul Short; children, Marke E. (Tina) Short, James (Janice) Lofty, Paul Edward Short, II; grandchildren, Logan, Summer, Jacob, Janise, Greg, Brittney, Tyler, Whitney, Cody, Blake, Wes, Marshall, Sherman, and Payton; siblings, Wanda Honeycutt, Doris McCorkle, Teresa Gordy, Darlene (Raymond) Sanborn, Louise Webb, Bobby (Diana) Wilson, John (Martha) Wilson; nieces and nephews, Tyra (Vance), Eletta, Mitchell, Tina (Jason), Leona, Angela (John), David (Jeana), Mark (Amy), Clint, Jennifer, Tabatha (Christopher), April (Dewayne), Tiffany (Daniel), Tabbatha, Malachi, Gary (Melinda), Amanda, and Jonathan (Jenn); and a host of extended family members and beloved friends.
