Carolyn Parham

Our dear mother, Carolyn Ruby Butcher Parham passed away peacefully at her home in Murfreesboro,

Tennessee, on Friday, July 14, 2023, at age 90. She was formerly a resident of Chattanooga and was a

member of Ridgedale Baptist Church.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband of 48 years, Richard J. Parham

of Chattanooga, her parents Frank & Ruth Butcher, brother Joe and her sisters Alice, Delores and Emma.

She is survived by her son Donald Parham of Atlanta, her daughter April and her husband Jody Miller,

two grandsons, Colton and Collin Miller of Murfreesboro, her sisters Charlene Colquitt (Bill) of Rossville,

Georgia, Martha Rushing (J.B.) of Brookhaven, Mississippi, and her brother Harold Butcher (Judy) of

Rossville, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Monday, July 24th at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www.samaritanspurse.org, an organization which our

parents supported for many decades.

The family would like to thank the staff of Alive Hospice and personal caregiver, Teresa Enoch.
