Carolyn E. Cofer

Carolyn E. Cofer, 77, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away June 12, 2025. She was born July 23, 1947, in Memphis, TN, and of the Baptist faith. Carolyn loved quilting, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, family, her faith, and her grand dog, Lilly.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Cofer; parents, Howard & Teresa Ball; grandparents, William & Katherine Harper; grandparents, James & Lillian Dale Ball.

Survived by her sister, Barbara (Jack) Lawrence; children, Shelby (Jeff) Stacy, Christina (Jack) Sanders, son, Adam Bentley and Rachel (Jason) Whittington; grandchildren, Alexander (Lindsay) Bentley, Brett (Jada) Stacy, Alanna (Jon) Kwasnicki, Maria Whittington, Vivian Bentley, Nathan Whittington, Ella Bentley and Hazel Whittington; nephew, Jon (Kim) Vance; niece, Wendi (Jonathan) Haley and a host of friends

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, June 17, 2025, at Companion Funeral Home, 6018 John Douglas Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421, with Pastor Guinn Green officiating. The burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, following the service.
