Obituary
Carol E. Thompson, 64, a resident of Cleveland passed away at her home on December 16, 2011. Carol was born on October 14, 1947 in Lancaster, PA and lived there until moving here in the Prospect community approximately 40 years ago. She was a member of the Philippi Baptist Church. Carol was a homemaker who devoted her life to caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great children. Carol was a daughter of the late David and Mary Yohn.
Carol is survived by her husband Gary Thompson, three daughters Stacey O’Daniel, Shelli Stevison (Larry), and Angie Williford (Tracy), one son Jason Thompson (Margaret), eight grandchildren Savannah Edwards (Cory), Brittany Barker (Corey), Zach Neely, Damon Thompson, Catie Stevison, Dakota O’Daniel, Hunter Thompson, and Logan Thompson, two great grandchildren Greyson Barker and Emmorie Barker, her beloved dog "Jake", one sister and three brothers all from the Pennsylvania area Joann Shelley (Don), David Yohn (Donna), Darrell Yohn (Sue), Lynn Yohn (Betty), and Dan Yohn. Carol also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members to cherish her memory.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the Philippi Baptist Church located at 2325 Old Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311 with the Reverend Sammy Hooker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
