Carla Jean Keener affectionately known as "Crickett" was born and raised in Illinois and later made her home in Tennessee. She had an extraordinary love for her family and friends and brought joy to those around her. Crickett had a special place in her heart for animals and was known for her ability to make others laugh with ease.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Marjorie Espeland; her son, Dale Boling Davis; her sisters, Sherry Freeland and Dixie Hood; and her beloved partner of 15 years, Tony Koontz.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cathi Jenkins; her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Ridge Parkins; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Sue Espeland, and Brad and Alex Espeland; her grandchildren, Brandon Boling, LaRay Jenkins (Witney), Tray Jenkins, Terry Jenkins, and Hayli Jenkins; as well as eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friends, Lisa, Maryland, and Jayne, along with the many new friends she made at The Waters of Sweetwater.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 11, 2026, at Rock Island Park at 1:00 p.m.
