Mrs. Callie Jean Ferguson Derrick, 80, of Athens passed away in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, Feb 4th 2025. Jean was a life long resident of Athens, TN, a member of First Baptist Church of Athens, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan. Jean was preceded in death by her Mother Maggie L. Ferguson of Athens, Daughter Karen D. Derrick of Athens, and sister Vaughnette Ferguson Parker of Port Orange FL. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Allen L. Derrick of Athens, Son and Daughter-in-law Brian and Katie Derrick of Mount Juliet, and four grandchildren: Cooper, Lily, Taryn, and Trenten Derrick.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made online or via mail to Women at the Well of Athens, TN.
There will be no funeral service at this time. A celebration of life will be held to be attended by close friends and family in accordance with her wishes.
