The world lost one of its brightest lights with the sudden passing of Caleb Bruce Hiland on May 3, 2026. But , the warmth of his spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Caleb was born in Macon, GA on August 22, 2001. He spent much of his early childhood in southeast GA horseback riding and fishing.
Caleb was a 2019 graduate of Polk County High School. He was a true Crimson Tide fan in a sea of orange. He enjoyed life's simple pleasures, especially spending time outdoors swimming and camping.
Caleb was a true Southern Gentleman. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and the ability to make people laugh, even during difficult times. Caleb always enjoyed learning how to cook from his grandmother. He had a naturally beautiful singing voice which he inherited from her.
Caleb was preceded in death by his grandmother, Wilma Ruth Williams.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Amy Hiland; grandmother, Karen Hiland; his aunt, Allison Hiland all of Cleveland, Tennessee; Cousins, Bella Rose Helton, and Emma Tuesday Shubert, both of Charleston, Tennessee, Phoebe Sue Hiland, of Williston, Vermont; his aunt and uncle, Stephanie and Travis Hiland of WIlliston, Vermont; grandfather, Bruce Hiland, ; step grandmother, Katie Hiland both of The Villages, Florida; step mother, Deborah Beard; step brother, Jacob Beard both of Cleveland, Tennessee; and his grandfather, Marvin Dunn of Jesup, Georgia; along with a host of cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Whether he was surrounded by nature, laughing with friends, or sharing stories with family, he brought warmth and energy everywhere he went.
His time here was far too short, but the memories he created and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Caleb will be deeply missed, especially by his mother - and forever remembered. Roll Tide
