Brenda Taylor

Brenda Lou Taylor, 65, of LaFayette, GA, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at her home. A lifelong resident of the area, Brenda was born in Ringgold on February 15, 1960, to the late Ralph and Dorothy Lou Birdsong Gordy. She was of the Christian faith. She was an avid shopper, always hunting for a good deal. She loved crocheting, flowers, and animals. Above all, she loved her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her biological father, Junior Campbell; sister, Wilma Holmes; infant brother, Ronnie Gordy; and nephew, Daryl Gordy, II.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Taylor and Tammy Davis (Joshua); grandchildren, Kayley, Bradley, Rachel, Taylor, and Gabriel; brother, Daryl Gordy, Sr. (Carolyn); several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and beloved friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be announced and held at a later date.
