Brenda Russell

Brenda Russell, age 67, passed away on October 20, 2025.

Brenda was of the Baptist faith and lived a life filled with simple joys and love for the outdoors. She enjoyed many things involving the outdoors such as fishing, bird watching, and spending time in her garden. She especially loved her dogs, walking the greenway, grilling, and feeding the squirrels and ducks with her brother. Her kind heart and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by David Russell, Tanner Burk, Pat Hendrix, and her mother, Lucille Hendrix.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Mark (Christie) Jenkins, Mitchell (Maryann Sorrells) Jenkins, and Keri (Chris) Chastain; siblings Jerry (Carolyn) Hendrix and Byron Hendrix; grandchildren Michelle (William) Beavers, Hope Burk, Breanna (Chris) Muina, Dyllan (Braylee) Jenkins, Kylee Jenkins, and Morgan Jenkins; and great-grandchildren Conner Beavers, Tucker Beavers, and Carlee Beavers.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Brenda's life at a visitation on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Ridge Chapel of Companion Funeral Home, located at 2412 Georgetown Road, Cleveland, TN 37311, with a funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Stanfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

Brenda will be remembered for her warmth, her love of nature, and the special way she cared for those around her.
