Brenda Holmes

Brenda Dean Holmes, 73, passed away on September 10, 2026. She was born to the late James Collins and Josephine WIlson on May 14, 1953 in Cleveland, Tennessee.

Brenda enjoyed painting, gardening, photography, reading, and traveling. She attended her church regularly, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Collins and Terry Collins.

She is survived by her husband, Larry "Bub" Holmes, sons, Tony Holmes and Michael Holmes, granddaughter, Andi Durning, great-niece, Jessica Shepherd, sister-in-law, Sharon Holmes, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Companion Funeral Home- The Ridge Sanctuary, at 4:00pm, with Pastors Jimmy and Michael Holmes officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00-4:00pm prior to the service. 

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Hiwassee Memorial Gardens, at 3:00pm.
